1. What first brought you to CrossFit Warehouse, and how long have you been a member?
I was tired of not seeing results from going to the gym on my own so I joined CrossFit back in 2018.
2. What was your very first CrossFit workout, and how did it go?
I don't recall what the workout was but I do recall how I felt... very very sore.
3. What’s your proudest accomplishment so far in the gym?
Box jumping a 30in box with three 45lb plates stacked on top.
4. What’s one movement or workout you love ❤️ … and one you love to hate 😅?
I love box jumps or any leg workout. And I dislike (with a passion) burpees.
5. How has being part of this community impacted your life outside of the gym? 🌎
It keeps me fit for a physically demanding job as a Fireman. Being part of the CrossFit community has also helped my mental health, working out is a great stress reliever.
6. What motivates you to show up and put in the work, even on tough days? 🔥
Seeing results and knowing how good I feel after I start my day with a workout. The committed club also holds me accountable and I push myself to make it every month.
7. Do you have a favorite post-WOD meal, snack, or recovery ritual? 🥗
I try to eat something healthy post WOD but I often get distracted by my dog and we take a nap instead.
8. What advice would you give to someone just starting their CrossFit journey? ✨
Stick with it. Don't rush results. Know this is a lifestyle change for your overall physical and mental health and the reward will be worth all your hard work.
9. What goals are you currently working on (inside or outside the gym)?
I’m preparing myself to run my first ever Chicago Marathon in 2026.
10. How do you live out the CrossFit Warehouse core values — Community, Integrity, Inspire — in your daily life? 💪❤️
- Community: I try my best to create a positive environment wherever I go and be there when someone needs it.
- Integrity: By staying disciplined with a consistent workout schedule helps maintain a healthy body and mindset.
- Inspire: I live each day trying to be the best version of myself, humbled and thankful for what I have. I landed my dream job in my late 30’s. I started taking my fitness more seriously in my early 40’s. It doesn’t matter when you start, what matters is you don’t stop believing in yourself.
11. What’s something fun or unique about you that most people might not know?
I love music and comedy. I probably attend over 20 shows a year across many different genres. I also don’t drink coffee. Unless it’s an espresso martini.
12. In one word, how would you describe your CrossFit Warehouse experience?
Life-changing
