1. What first brought you to CrossFit Warehouse, and how long have you been a member?
I started Crossfit when I was looking for something that would push me out of my comfort zone and hold me accountable in a way a traditional gym never did. I became a member of CrossFit Warehouse in 2017.
2. What was your very first CrossFit workout, and how did it go?
It was a long time ago, so I don’t remember all the details but I do remember there were muscle-ups involved. That alone tells you it was humbling!.
3. What’s your proudest accomplishment so far in the gym?
Making the Committed Club is something that I’m especially proud of. It’s easy to make excuses to skip a workout, but having that consistent, achievable goal each month keeps me accountable. I’ve seen firsthand how much consistency translates into real performance gains.
4. What’s one movement or workout you love … and one you love to hate?
I really enjoy Murph because it combines many of the movements I’m strong in. Thrusters, on the other hand… those are definitely my “love to hate” movement.
5. How has being part of this community impacted your life outside of the gym?
It’s made me more disciplined and resilient. The mindset of “just keep moving” carries over into work and other areas of life, especially on stressful days.
6. What motivates you to show up and put in the work, even on tough days?
Knowing that I will never regret going but will almost always regret skipping.
7. Do you have a favorite post-WOD meal, snack, or recovery ritual?
I religiously drink a FitAid after every workout.
8. What advice would you give to someone just starting their CrossFit journey?
Don’t compare your Day 1 to someone else’s Year 5. Scale appropriately, focus on form, and trust the process. Progress happens faster than you think but only if you stay consistent.
9. What goals are you currently working on (inside or outside the gym)?
I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon this fall. I ran a marathon once before, about ten years ago, and had a tough experience because I did not train properly. This time, my goal is to fully commit to the training so I can have a much stronger and more positive race experience.
10. How do you live out the CrossFit Warehouse core values — Community, Integrity, Inspire — in your daily life?
I try to be someone people can count on, whether that’s in the gym, at work, or with friends and family. For me, community means showing up consistently and being present. Integrity is following through on commitments, even when it would be easier not to. And when it comes to inspiring others, I believe it starts with actions more than words. Putting in the effort, staying positive, and demonstrating that steady, consistent work adds up over time.
11. What’s something fun or unique about you that most people might not know?
I’ve owned horses since I was a teenager, and currently have an 11 year-old Thoroughbred named Kitten.
12. In one word, how would you describe your CrossFit Warehouse experience?
Spicy, you never quite know what you’re walking into but its guaranteed to burn a little.
