1. What first brought you to CrossFit Warehouse, and how long have you been a member?
I was going through a life transition, had moved out to this area within the past year, and was looking for a new CrossFit gym to join. I’ve been a member here since December of 2024 and have been doing CrossFit for close to 6 years now.
2. What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Warehouse community?
Just the energy of this gym. It’s hard to put into words, but I’ll try my best. I just feel it when I come here. I feel so supported when I walk through these doors for every workout I come to, from the members to the coaches. I know I’ll always run into a friendly face and will always have people cheering me and other members on.
3. Do you remember your very first workout at the gym? What was it like?
I don’t remember what workout it was, I just remember it was challenging and that I felt great afterwards!
4. What’s your proudest moment so far in your fitness journey?
I’ve been on a weight loss journey the past year and am officially down 44 pounds! I have been able to maintain my strength as well throughout this process and have been very proud of the progress I have made with this.
5. What’s your favorite movement? Least favorite?
For my favorite movement, it’s anything with squats! But if I had to pick one, I’d say deadlifts. My least favorite movement, it would be the strict press. It humbles me every time (but just serves as motivation for me to get better at overhead movements).
6. How has CrossFit Warehouse impacted your life outside the gym?
It helps with my mental health. There is never a time where I feel worse leaving the gym, I always feel better. I also can carry all my groceries inside the house in one go!
7. What motivates you to keep showing up, even on the hard days?
Similar to my answer above. I always know that I will feel better after having gone to the gym.
8. What advice would you give to someone just starting their fitness journey?
Just keep showing up and putting in the hard work. Take it from someone who used to hate any type of physical fitness in any shape or form. I used to joke that you’d only catch me running in order to outrun zombies in the event of an apocalypse. It’s just because I had not found a form of physical fitness that I loved, and that’s CrossFit for me. I now cannot imagine my life without it.
9. What is your favorite music or song to work out to?
My favorite song always changes week to week (according to my Spotify, my favorite right now is “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga), but my favorite music in general to workout to is any heavy metal. Metallica for the win!
10. Tell us one fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know!
Although I present as quite introverted at the gym, I am very talkative and silly once you get to know me!
