1. What first brought you to CrossFit Warehouse, and how long have you been a member? 🏋️♂️
I had recently moved to Illinois and was looking for a new CrossFit gym. I’ve been a member for about 13 months.
2. What was your very first CrossFit workout, and how did it go?
My very first CrossFit workout was the hero workout Fran. I didn’t know what to expect. It was pretty tough getting through the thrusters, and I started with ring rows because I was still slow with pull-ups at the time.
3. What’s your proudest accomplishment so far in the gym?
I can power clean 205 pounds, which is about 55% of my deadlift one-rep max.
4. What’s one movement or workout you love ❤️ … and one you love to hate 😅?
I love anything Olympic lifting. The movement I hate would be thrusters.
5. How has being part of this community impacted your life outside of the gym?
It helps me in my job at the Undergraduate Administration at Chicago State University, where I sometimes need to carry heavy boxes and reorganize closets.
6. What motivates you to show up and put in the work, even on tough days? 🔥
Looking at how far I’ve come motivates me. Seeing my progress helps me put in the work even on tough days.
7. Do you have a favorite post-WOD meal, snack, or recovery ritual? 🥗
I love Built protein bars or a mix of strawberries and blueberries.
8. What advice would you give to someone just starting their CrossFit journey? ✨
Don’t give up — results don’t happen in a day. Show up on the days you can, and remember that the days you don’t are recovery.
9. What goals are you currently working on (inside or outside the gym)?
I’m preparing for the Chicago Marathon 2026 and working on CrossFit movements I still struggle with during WODs.
10. How do you live out the CrossFit Warehouse core values — Community, Integrity, Inspire — in your daily life? 💪❤️
Community: If I notice someone struggling or doing something incorrectly, I help them out.
Integrity: I believe in what I’m capable of day to day—whether in the gym, at school studying, or helping colleagues.
Inspire: Since taking fitness seriously after moving to Illinois, I try to set an example in and out of the gym.
11. What’s something fun or unique about you that most people might not know?
I’ve coached multiple sports, and now I’m working toward coaching in weightlifting or CrossFit.
12. In one word, how would you describe your CrossFit Warehouse experience?
Camaraderie.
