I am 35. im a pastor, coffee shop owner, and mentoring non-profit director.
I was driving by and saw it and knew God was calling me to get healthy.
Crossfit has been a gift of God to give me hope in the face of the death of my parents and inspired me to eat healthier and honor the vessel God has given me to serve on this earth.
My short-term fitness goal is to reach under 20% body fat and 170 pounds and my long-term goal is to be strong enough to do Rx (Prescribed) in the workouts!
What do you like most about CrossFit Warehouse? I love that we get the attention and accountability of a personal trainer with the inspiration, community, and fun of workout classes. I love coming and being guided and pushed by the coaches and the other athletes.
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Overhead Snatches!
What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? Cleans!
What movements would be in your ideal WOD? Rope Climb, Snatches, and air squats!
What are you doing to improve your diet? I am working up to drink my body weight in ounces of water as well as lower my intake of funyon hot cheetos and increase my vegetables every meal.
What are your favorite movies? Shawshank Redemption and Toy Story
Who is your favorite music artist or band? Cold Play, Shane and Shane, and Ludovico einaudi (Italian Pianist)
What is your favorite workout song? Divenire by Ludovico einaudi or Death and All His Friends by Coldplay
What achievements are you most proud of? For getting Megan to say I Do, to my children liking me, leaving banking to become a Pastor and taking leaps of faith to serve people around me.
What is something people don’t know about you? I tend to overshare (see Coach Mike about my gynecomastia and Coach Estefania about my GI issues), but I really enjoy niche word or table top board games and making simple balloon animals.
What does CrossFit mean to you in 10 words or less? Crossfit humbles me and inspires through community
What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit? Don't be afraid of all the movements. They can be intimidating but you don't need to know them all at once and scaling is a sign of wisdom, not strength.
