I am super grateful that my body has been able to achieve over 10 marathons, countless half marathons, Triathlons, 5 Ragnar races, Spartan Races, qualified for Deka World Champions and most recently in 2023 completed an Ironman.

Growing up as an only child, I didn’t have much access to organized sports, but that certainly didn’t stop me! I was a total tomboy who loved playing street sports and hanging out with the boys. It wasn’t until high school that I was introduced to organized athletics, and I fell in love with everything! I wanted to try it all. Was I the best at everything? Absolutely not! But I was a competitor, a fighter, and someone who never backed down from a challenge. Looking back, that explains a lot about the woman and coach I am today.
Life has taught me that we are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for. I’ve always believed in pushing past limitations, embracing challenges, and never giving up on yourself. That same mentality is exactly what I bring to my coaching. I see greatness in EVERYONE. I see potential in people even when they can’t see it in themselves, and I will challenge them to discover just how strong and capable they truly are.
One of my proudest athletic accomplishments was completing a full Ironman triathlon in 2023, along with multiple marathons and countless other endurance challenges. Training for an Ironman took months of discipline, sacrifice, and determination, and I credit so much of my strength and preparation to my CrossFit background.
As I approach 50, I continue to set big, sometimes crazy goals for myself because I refuse to let age define what I’m capable of. And if I can continue challenging myself to accomplish these things, why can’t you?
That’s the coach I am today. I’ll encourage you, believe in you, push you outside your comfort zone, and remind you that you’re capable of more than you think. Because sometimes all it takes is someone believing in you before you learn to believe in yourself.
My philosophy is simple: Never stop challenging yourself, never stop growing, and NEVER underestimate what you’re capable of!
There was a time in my life when I completely lost the athletic, spunky, competitive girl I once was. Life happened. Between working, being a wife, raising my son, and being that mom who wanted to be involved in absolutely everything, somewhere along the way, I put myself on the back burner.
Like so many women, I made sure everyone else was taken care of while slowly neglecting myself. The weight started creeping on, my fitness declined, and things that once came so easily to me suddenly felt impossible. I became uncomfortable in my own skin. I didn’t want to take pictures, didn’t feel confident, and honestly, I barely recognized the person I had become.
My biggest enemy wasn’t the weight. It was losing myself while taking care of everyone else. Then came my turning point. One day, I decided to go for what I thought would be an easy run. After all, I used to love running! Well, let me tell you, ONE mile nearly killed me! I couldn’t believe how far I had let myself go. That was the moment I said, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
During my son’s football practices, I started walking and running around a three-mile loop. At first, I couldn’t run very far, but I kept showing up. Little by little, those walks turned into longer runs. By the end of football season, I could run the entire three miles without stopping!
That little victory sparked something in me that I thought I had lost forever. I signed up for my first 5K, then a 10K, a 15K, a half marathon, and eventually a full marathon. And that journey ultimately led me to CrossFit as I prepared to take on even bigger physical challenges.
From the moment I walked into my first CrossFit class, I WAS HOOKED! So hooked that the girl who once wanted to run every day suddenly only wanted to do CrossFit!
CrossFit opened doors I never imagined. Obstacle course races, triathlons, swimming, cycling, local CrossFit competitions, DEKA, HYROX, and eventually completing an Ironman! All because one day I decided I was tired of feeling uncomfortable in my own skin and wanted to find myself again.
That turning point didn’t just change my body. It changed the entire direction of my life.
My purpose for coaching comes from a place of deep gratitude. I feel beyond blessed that God has given me the ability to use my body in ways I never thought possible and accomplish things I once could only dream of. And because I’ve experienced firsthand how life-changing fitness can be, I feel a responsibility and a passion to share that gift with others.
My passion is to empower EVERYONE. Women, men, young children, busy parents, and grandparents. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or someone who hasn’t worked out in 20 years, I want you to know that there is a place for you here.
I’m especially passionate about helping people who have lost themselves somewhere along life’s journey. The busy mom who puts everyone else first, the parent who thinks they don’t have time, the person who feels intimidated walking into a gym, or the older adult who believes their best years are behind them. I know what that feels like because I’ve been there.
I want people to fall in love with fitness, not because they have to, but because they discover how amazing it feels to be strong, healthy, confident, and capable. I want fitness to become part of their everyday lives, something they make time for because they understand that taking care of themselves isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.
I’m also incredibly passionate about our younger generation. I want kids to grow up believing there are no limits to what they can accomplish. I want to teach them that hard work, discipline, consistency, and believing in themselves can take them further than they ever imagined, both inside and outside the gym.
What motivates me personally? Becoming the best version of myself so I can show up as the best wife, mother, grandmother, coach, and leader I can be. I want to lead by example, continue challenging myself, and show others that age, fear, and self-doubt don’t have to define our limitations.
I know what it’s like to start over, to lose your confidence, and to wonder if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. But I also know the incredible things that happen when you decide to show up for yourself, one small step at a time.
That’s why I coach. Not just to help people lift heavier, run faster, or lose weight, but to help them discover a strength within themselves they never knew existed.
You don’t have to be an athlete to start. You just have to be willing to start. And if I can help even one person realize they’re capable of more than they ever believed possible, then I’m fulfilling my purpose. Because to me, coaching isn’t just about changing bodies. It’s about changing lives.
