Welcome To CrossFit Warehouse

At CrossFit Warehouse, we want to assist in creating a community of like-minded people who are interested in pursuing personal fitness goals. Hopefully, through community and perseverance at CrossFit Warehouse health and wellness will become a lifestyle.

CrossFit trains your body in a functional way and in a different format than most have been accustomed to at a typical gym. You will be in and out in an hour, but you will have worked out not just harder, but smarter.  CrossFit delivers a different WOD (Workout of the Day) each and every day.  If you are bored with your current workout routine, don't want to spend hours at the gym anymore, or you are looking for a different way - your answer is CrossFit Warehouse.

At CrossFit Warehouse, you train in a small group with a coach working toward a common goal.  Members support and push each other to achieve things never thought possible.  The atmosphere of our group classes cannot be found at any typical gym.  This is at the heart of CrossFit, what helps you succeed in meeting your fitness goals and what keeps you coming back for more.  And yes, CrossFit is for you - CrossFit is for EVERYBODY.  Our clients are men and women ranging in age from high school students to retirees.

Athlete of the Month

  • Tim Quinn

    Age:  48

    Occupation:    CPA

In general, what is your athletic background?   Played organized team sports (baseball, football, hockey, 16” softball) through my early 20s.  After that age it was golf and running.

How did you learn about CrossFit Warehouse?  General internet search after my brother-in-law told me about his local Crossfit.

How has CrossFit Warehouse changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? Life:  I make time for 1.5 hours 4-5 days a week for myself.  As much as CFW is a physical workout, it is a refuge/sanctuary for me to mentally and emotionally get away from work and focus on something else.

Lifestyle:  At my age and after about 20 years of total neglect of my body, I have to make physical exercise a part of my life.  It is very simple, healthy diet and exercise increases life span and decreases the chance of heart disease, diabetes and so on and so forth. Blah blah blah.  We all know it.

Level of fitness:  I feel that I could play all those sports named above and be reasonably average.

List short/long term goals you would like to accomplish through CrossFit Warehouse:   In the short-term, I want to increase my flexibility, gain a little in strength, and continue to work on weight loss.  My long-term goals, in 5-7 years I wouldn’t mind doing all the CF movements that the masters level CFers do.

What do you like most about CrossFit Warehouse?  It all starts with John and Mary, their family, the trainers, their sincerity, knowledge, interest, frankness, encouragement, commitment, and their personalities.  The membership at CFW is supreme, they are inspirational.  All are encouraging and willing to help out and offer words of support often times at complete fatigue when you think finishing a WOD is not possible.

All of this makes for a very positive, uplifting, feel-good, friendly, interesting place to spend time.  John and Mary have assembled a little gem of a place for the area.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?   Bear complexes, especially Nora’s homemade complex.    Just when you are feeling all high and mighty about yourself, you need a little tune-up, and it’s called Nora’s complex.

What is your least favorite CrossFit movement?  Overhead Squat.

Favorite WOD: There are many - Murph, The Don, Filthy Fifty

What are you currently doing to try to improve your diet?  Lisa and I do paleo light, - not paleo convenient -, paleo light.  So Lisa is 100% Italian, and paleo says no pasta – Ok, well this complete paleo thing isn’t going to happen.    We incorporate paleo into much of our diet.  We’ve cut out most of the dairy, starches and processed foods.  We have been big vegetable and fruit eaters, so it’s a gradual work in process.

Favorite movie:  All time/all purpose:  “It’s a Wonderful Life”,   drama/action:  “Gladiator”  comedyThe Other Guys”, “Caddyshack”, “Division III Football’s Finest”, “We’re the Millers”, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, “Napoleon Dynamite” , “Moonstruck”

Favorite and/or current book: finishing up A Long, Long Way by Sebastian Barry, and Identical by Scott Turow.  Favorites:  Every book written by Vince Flynn and most written by David McCullough

Favorite music genre/artist: Most, can’t name one – love ‘em all.

U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Awolnation, Clapton, Rush, The Who, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, Arctic Monkeys,  Linkin Park, Bill Monroe, Phish, Disco Biscuits, Gov’t Mule,  Benny Goodman, Fats Waller, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Nat King Cole, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin,  Verdi, and Puccini.

    You asked.

Achievements you’d like to highlight within your life:   Define achievement ? mmmm. I don’t know if it’s an achievement more so than God’s good graces – to be married to my wife and have 3 average kids and 1 above average dog.

List a few things we don’t know about you:  I don’t know what other people know about me.

I’m managing partner at a struggling mid-tier paper company.  (Anyone familiar with “The Office”  TV series can pick up on that one).   No but seriously, I’m a managing partner at a 92 year-old CPA firm, with 11 other partners and 60 employees.

In 15 words or less, what does CF mean to you?

    In 3-2-1  GO !   I don’t have a lot of words.

CFW improves my life physically and mentally in a humbling,  encouraging, friendly environment.
